October 2007	ELOS Models of European Citizenship in Schools Lisbon, 14, 15 and 16 October 2007 Elos conference: Eijkhagen, Newport and Urola Ikastola participated in the conference.

Throughout 2008	SCUOLE MEDIE "PARENZO-CASALINI",ROVIGO,ITALY. This year we'll have student exchanges with Eijkhagencollege, Landgraaf ,and "Collhge et Lycie "Immaculie Conception", Lyon. UROLA IKASTOLA AZKOITIA-AZPEITIA B.H.I.: - ELOS under the auspices of the Elos Comenius 3 project all over Europe and the partnership of the Service for Pedagogical Innovation of the Department of Education of the Basque Government. Class material to be prepared and experimented this year. - Second year of COMENIUS Multilateral School project: The Development of European Competences. Also accepted as an ELOS project. - Extended chart ERASMUS projects for Upper Vocational Education trainees' workplacements abroad. - February 2008, Basque students to the Netherlands. - Students' e-mail correspondence with Newport started in February. - Application for a two year Bilateral Comenius in February between Eijkhagencollege and Urola Ikastola Azkotia-Azpeitia: The European Hero Election, let's cross fingers. LICEO-GINNASIO"CELIO"/ ISTITUTO MAGISTRALE "C.ROCCATI",ROVIGO, ITALY. Rovigo to Eijkhagen 6-12 March 2008. Italians: 18 students + 2 teachers. Dutch: 18+1-1 + 2 teachers. Topic: a comparison between the two cultural backgrounds (school systems, evaluation systems, teenagers's rules within the family...) - -Language course with family acccommodation: group of 60 15-year old students with four teachers in Cannes 2-8 March 2008. Aim: practising the French language in a real environment, having direct experience of the French culture. - "People to people: students ambassadors" project: 4-7 July 2008, 45 American students on tour in Europe next summer will be hosted for 4 days by our school's families; their homestay in Rovigo will be part of their cultural tour aiming to let the students get in touch with European way of life.

28 January . 4th February	30 English students from Newport will visit College et Lycie Immaculie Conception Villeurbanne (FR)  and meet their French penfriends. Visits and attendance of classes will be organized. In return our French students will go to Newport by the end of June for a week.

3 May	College et Lycie Immaculie Conception (FR)  is participating in the European school race to celebrate Europe. 30 of our students will be chosen by their respective P.E teachers for their running skills to compete with other students from local schools. We will represent one of the 25 European countries. The selection of the country we shall represent  is decided upon in February by the local  committee.
